Jazz band workshops will be available for students in 6th grade to adult. These classes will meet once each week for 1 hour. The jazz band workshops will be determined by age group: 6th-8th Grade, 9th -12th Grade, and Adult. These will be gatherings to work on improvisation and jazz band techniques. Performance opportunities will also be part of these workshops.
Guitar workshops are available for students of all levels from beginner through advanced. The workshop includes group instruction by level, music theory discussion, performances and recitals. The format of the workshop combines the benefit of group instruction and the opportunity for students to interact. Students are encouraged to participate in the performance segment at the end of the workshop and may perform solo, with other students, or with the instructor. Regardless of playing ability, the Glenn Eliot Guitar Workshop offers an enjoyable and rewarding musical experience.
