Independent
Contracts/Grant Programs

Music Therapy
Beth Trez was contracted by the Harrisburg City Schools last
year to provide music therapy to primary elementary school students with
multiple disabilities. Every other week
Beth conducted music therapy with one class of students at Melrose School. This culminated in a field trip to TrezMusic
at the end of the year for a large session/party. The program was such a success that Beth has
been asked to come again this year and provide music therapy to three classes
instead of one! Other programs like this
are possible upon request and will be taylored to the needs of the contracting
organization.
Migrant
Preschool Program
This past summer, Beth was given a grant to conduct a summer music
program with preschool children of migrant workers in Littlestown, PA. The program consisted of four educational
sessions and an evening concert/graduation.
Beth taught three classes: 3-year olds, 4-year olds, and 5-year
olds. Movement, singing, dancing, and
rhythm/beat activities provided a fun, educational, music experience for these
children. This program was such a
success that a second grant is being proposed to bring Beth back for a more
extended period of time next summer.
Other programs like this are possible upon request and will be tailored
to the needs of the contracting organization.
